WERRA deliver over 5,000 colour newsletters to keep residents in West Ewell and Ruxley wards informed of local issues. The content within the newsletters is written by our committee who are all volunteers and our councillors. The road stewards (also volunteers) deliver them to residents three times a year. This would not be possible without the support of our advertisers who cover the cost of producing the newsletters. Our latest newsletter is the Spring 2018 version which can be found here.
Cost of Advertising
Our cost of advertising is good value with a full page advert costing less than 2.5p per household with a discount available for those signing up to multiple adverts. Unlike other local magazines we do not overload the reader with adverts. In one recent publication there were more adverts on the first 13 pages than we have in our whole newsletter. Each newsletter is delivered on its own; we do not deliver them alongside takeaway leaflets or other flyers.
We are also very local, with customers living close to the majority of businesses that advertise in our magazine. It’s the most natural targeted advertising. The full price list is below and if you are already interested in advertising with us, please email our Sheila at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Full Page – £120
Half Page – £60
Qtr Page – £40
Our website is drawing in a much higher number of visitors than we have seen previously. If we continue the way we started in the first three months of this year, by the end of April we will have had the same visitor numbers that we saw in the first six months of last year. Anyone advertising in our newsletter is invited to submit articles that may be of benefit to the community – for instance a plumber offering advice on protecting pipes in winter, a car garage advising on changes to MOT and Road Tax changes or a gardener suggesting jobs to do in the garden throughout the year. Anyone who advertises in our newsletter can submit these free of charge but full page advertisers will be given priority.
We are also looking to develop an advertisers page which may improve your business’s online presence.
West Ewell and Ruxley Residents’ Association is a small organisation which means we can be more flexible to the needs of our advertisers. We are always looking for new ideas as to how we can support local businesses who have an important role within the local economy. If you are not interested in advertising with us, we would still invite you to submit suggestions on how we can better support local businesses.
