An update from Councillor Alex Coley on the largest and longest unconference
A local resident is looking for donations of surplus apples from back gardens
Very good news! We have just been informed that in July (first full month of new collections) dry recycling was up 20% on the previous July, and we have just had the August figures, which showed dry recycling is up 23% on the previous August.
Dry recycling is the paper, plastic, tins – the green bin.
Thank you to everybody that has helped to get these great figures – please keep up the good work and help us increase this even more in the coming months.
While other Councils are going to 3 or even 4 week collections we in Epsom & Ewell are one of the few that have gone back to weekly collections of all waste. This is a great result for everyone and if you have any questions regarding this then please contact the switchboard at the Town Hall or speak to your local Councillor.
