We have received an email from SES Water (formerly Sutton and East Surrey Water) regarding their Water Resources Management Plan Consultation. Every five years SES update and develop their plans to provide reliable, high quality water supplies to their customers. As the water supplier for West Ewell, they want to hear your views on their draft Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) which is now out for consultation. To view the consultation and respond, please visit the SES website.
The consultation does highlight some of the issues facing SES in supplying water to its customers. Within the SES area, water usage is approximate 150 litres per person per day which is higher than neighbouring areas that are averaging 130 litres per person per day. There is also a clear distinction between metered and unmetered homes, with unmetered home using on avaergae over 20 litres more per day.
SES are looking at ways to reduce water usage per head in particular having a much higher proportion of residents on a meter and introducing smart meters. There are also plans to inform residents how to save water.
